Environmental compliance requires both financial commitment and creative thought. Environmental health and safety requirements affect our clients business operations and real estate transactions.  --
 --
As we become more aware of the impact we have on the environment, and as regulation increases, including increased liability for land contamination, access to water and water rights, consultation with attorneys familiar with the regulatory landscape becomes essential.  The challenge is to keep up, ensure compliance and maintain profitability.
--
At Lorenzo Law Office, we understand the challenges you face. We have helped individuals, developers, contractors, and financial institutions effectively respond to environmental law and regulation.
--

Compliance –We have advised on regulatory requirements for environmental, health and safety matters such as obtaining, complying with, and challenging permits and licenses, and meeting both local and State performance and liability standards. We have also advised owners and operators of industrial plants and transportation companies on aspects of day-to-day compliance issues.

--

Contamination –We are also experienced in the handling of contaminated sites, including contaminated land, waters and buildings (e.g., asbestos, lead and PCBs). We have represented clients with a view to limit legal and financial exposure in connection with clean-up liabilities.

--

Enforcement and Litigation – We have assisted in complex environmental, including defense of government and private environmental actions, regulatory compliance lawsuits, permit appeals, achieving cost-effective solutions in litigation and contested administrative proceedings.

--

Transactions –Jeff Lorenzo has counseled buyers, sellers, lessors, lessees, borrowers and lending institutions on the environmental ramifications of acquisitions and sales, financings, foreclosures and other transactions, including disclosure obligations.
