We currently serve or have served as the attorneys for Jackson
County, Indiana; the City of Seymour, Indiana; Seymour Municipal Sanitation Utility; Seymour Municipal Airport Authority;
as well as economic development commissions, housing authorities, plan commissions, and boards of zoning appeals.
In addition, Jeff Lorenzo was lead counsel for the City of Seymour, Indiana in
United States of America vs. Seymour Recycling Corporation, City of Seymour, Indiana, et al, a Superfund case involving
negotiation and settlement of a hazardous waste facility clean-up located on municipally owned real estate. Representation
of the City also involved prosecution of the City's claims against its insurers for coverage of property damage caused by
Seymour Recycling Corporation to City-owned property. We
draft local laws, prepare findings on numerous land use matters, guide clients through the municipal purchasing process and
negotiate complex contracts. We have defended and prosecuted numerous lawsuits and appeals on behalf of municipalities including
such varied issues as civil rights, zoning, subdivisions and site plans, police and fire fighter discipline, unemployment
claims, and contract litigation.
Our attorneys have nearly
three decades of experience representing municipal clients. We have been involved in some of the leading cases reported in
Indiana regarding variances, subdivisions, rezoning, and environmental issues. We have been recognized for our knowledge
in these areas and have been asked to speak and write on municipal topics by such varied organizations as Indiana Continuing
Legal Education Forum (ICLEF) and the Indiana Association of Municipal Attorneys (IMLA).
We are members of the Indiana Municipal Lawyers Association, Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, and the Association
